Ubud is a spiritual place filled with travelers and travelers who did not leave (ever). Located in the middle of Bali it has a different vibe and a lot adventures to offer.

How to get to Bali?

Fly into Denpasar International Airport. There is a taxi counter right before you leave the airport. They have fixed prices depending on where your hotel is. This way you pay the official price and you get conveniently to your accommodation. A taxi in Bali is fairly cheap and convenient.

How to get around on Bali?

On Bali most of the travelers rent a scooter to get around. It is really convenient and easy to explore the island. The traffic seems crazy but if you go with the flow it is really fun. Just be careful. Most Balinese drive very carefully too. Make sure you have an international driving license.

Taking a taxi is also convenient and not to expensive. If you rather go by taxi take a BLUE BIRD GROUP taxi as the drivers have to switch on the meter so you pay the official price. (There is another company who has almost the same logo so be aware to get the right one)

You can also hire a driver for the day or a few hours. Ask at your place where you stay. They can organize a driver for you which show you around temples and other sights. It is all up to you what you want to see. You should agree on a price in advance.
