Senaru - Packing list Rinjani and the day before hiking Rinjani

Senaru is the base camp for all the hikers who want to conquer mount Rinjani.

At the local warungs you will get basics like crackers, drinking water, toilet paper and other stuff you might need for the hike :-D 

Packing list for trekking mount Rinjani 3Day/2night hike.

You should bring only what you need. A small backpack 30-40l is recommended. Pack as light as possible. The porters will carry most of the food, water and trekking equipments. However, try to stay around 5Kg for your backpack. 

 

What I took for the hike:

 

Clothing:

- 2/3 pcs or T-Shirts to change

- 1 Shorts / long pants (Day 1 I walked in shorts / to the summit in long jeans / after that in shorts again )

- Wind proof jacket

- Underwear to change (you will walk past hot springs where you can take a bath)

- 2/3 pcs of socks to change

- Warm pullover for the night (I wore a T-shirt, long sleeve, pullover and wind proof jacket at night)

– Suitable walking shoes (I walked in Nike running shoes)

 

Equipment:

– Flashlight

– Toiletries

– Sun block/lotion, hat/cap, sun glasses

– Spray for muscle/balm (Tigerbalm)

– Insect repellent

- Plasters 

– Camera (be sure it is fully charged)

– Small towel

 

Food:

- Min. 1,5 Liter drinking water

- High energy food (muesli bars, nuts, raisins)
